CAN’T KEEP ME AWAY FROM THE FF! ESPECIALLY WHEN THERE WAS A TRIPLE WELLMAN FEATURE ON TAP!!!!

tonight’s triple bill consisted of

1934’s Stingaree – Richard Dix (and his suave mustache) lies, cheats and steals just so Irene Dunne can become a famous singer.  totally ridiculous, but often hilarious!

1933’s Central Airport – Richard Barthelmess and Sally Eilers go sky high in work and love, with Barthelmess’ screen brother Tom Brown gumming up both the work and love.  Swooned for this movie hard.  Apparently John Wayne had his very first screen death in the film, but we didn’t even remembering seeing him 🙁

1931’s Safe In Hell – saw this odd, but brilliant Dorothy Mackaill pre-coder back in August, and it was just as amazing seeing it a second time!  you MUST see this film!!!!
