The South Street Society was founded in 1913, dresses in colonial period costumes and has a strong junior membership. Lewes Bonfire is the UK’s largest and most famous Guy Fawkes Night festivities and Lewes is known as the bonfire capital of the world. Bonfire societies parade in costume through the streets of the town and mount firework displays each November 5
